Medical Guardian Review

Review: Medical Guardian appears to be a good company. They offer a 7 day money back guarantee and after a 90 day commitment you can cancel at anytime. Medical Guardian does offer a lifetime price guarantee with their service.

  • There are no activation or set up fees when you first sign up with Medical Guardian.
  • They give a lifetime price guarantee for all price plans.
  • Medical Guardian only offers a 7 day money back guarantee – not a 30 day money back guarantee like many companies.
  • You cannot cancel within the first 90 days of their service – unless canceled in the first 7 days for a full refund.

I was told about Medical Guardian through a friend. I have only has this system for a few months, but unfortunately, I am utterly UNSATISFIED with the system, as well as the company. Although you are told that you will receive a refund once the equipment is returned, but what you are NOT told, is that you are responsible for the cost of shipping the equipment back. I was told it would be only $4.95, which was false! I was told that the equipment would pick up most falls, which it did NOT in my case, resulting in a serious health situation, but it did pick up on me rolling over on the necklace pendant in bed….hmmm??? Not a series of falls!!! When I called to cancel, I was told an apology for my situation, and that I would be refunded my money immediately….I AM STILL WAITING, and instead, I was charged again!!! Never once was I told about receiving my refund once the equipment was returned, and that is when my cancellation will be in effect! I called October, this is coming upon the third week in November!! I have been told that I could not receive my money back for the first payment, which is when I cancelled, but it maybe possible, to receive a refund for the second payment, no one has contacted me AT ALL!!! I have had to do all the calling, but one of the representatives had the audacity to ask me if I would refer anyone to use their service??? Are you serious??? If I cannot even get any type of service done for my situation, why would I want to refer this company to anyone!!! I AM BEYOND LIVID AT THIS POINT!!!
Whatever happened to CUSTOMER SERVICE GUARENTEED???? It appears to me that No Service Guarenteed!!!!!

My father learned about Medical Guardian from a frienmd. He wants to sign up for the annual plan with this service because of all of the incentives. But I am worried about having him put so much money down when he hasn’t even tried the service. Plus we just discovered your reviews and see that there are a lot of other options to look over. What a big decision! Any thoughts and tips you can give are so appreciated!

Hi Annie Beth,
You do have a lot of options when looking for a medical alert! I’m glad you found our site here. A lot of companies offer free gifts like an extra button or that lockbox with their service. And some offer this without you paying for a year up front. Medical Guardian seems to be a good company, but you’ll probably benefit from looking over the 3 companies that we gave our Check of Approval to and exploring other options before deciding. :)

I hope this helps!
