When you are searching for the best medical alert for dad and are deciding between a few good companies, think about their prices specific to the price plan you are interested in. Often you may see language like, “Your Medical Alert Service for as low as $27.99″… That doesn’t mean that all of their plans are $27.99! That means their most affordable plan is $27.99. So visit different companies’ Price Pages and ask yourself, does dad want to pay monthly, quarterly, or annually? From there compare the prices for different companies. Often these medical alert companies offer special features with different plans. Some even will only guarantee your price if you choose their annual plan. I’d encourage you not to get to lost in these added features. Choose how dad wants to pay and think about prices in a long term sense. Does it make sense to pay $3 more each month so that you can get an extra button with it? No! Might as well pay the one time fee to get an extra button with a more reasonably priced company!

Lastly, before signing up for an annual plan to save some money, make sure this best medical alert allows you to cancel at anytime and prorates unused months back to you! It would be a shame to lose half a year worth of money simply because dad could no longer use the service. Putting a good amount of effort into your initial medical alert comparisons will save dad money in the end.

We all have different expectations when it comes to the businesses that we deal with in our day to day life. Different businesses give different levels of customer service – and, to be honest, the industry that a company is in often reflects on how much they need to focus on customer service. The medical alert industry is a very unique industry since the majority of medical alert customers are elderly and need a little extra help here and there. A medical alert company caring about their customers can be shown in a lot of different ways. Maybe they keep their prices low so that all seniors can afford their service. Or maybe they follow up with each customer routinely to make sure they are testing and their medical alert is working properly. Also just a general kindness and smiling voice can go a long way in customer service! Hopefully you can find a company that provides all of these things! I’d like to encourage you to have high expectations of these medical alert companies. Find one that you feel will really help take care of mom, not just collect mom’s money every month. Even if mom doesn’t need top notch customer service now, she may need more and more help as she ages. Finding a company that understands and cares about their customers is really crucial for mom’s success!

If you made it to our website, you were smart enough to search around for reviews of medical alerts online to supplement your medical alert search. One thing you should definitely do when looking over reviews is consider their source… Although these reviews of medical alerts should be independent in nature, it is not always the case. A few things to think about when considering if a review site is biased: 1. Are the reviews factual? Or are they opinions? 2. Does the site’s information match what a company gives you over the phone? Some use out dated information to their advantage… 3. Are they recommending a few companies, or just one? Knowing exactly where your information comes from is so important to your medical alert search. In order to trust reviews of medical alerts, you need to make sure they aren’t built and managed by one of the companies they review!

What are you actually looking for in a good medical alert for you mom? Does price matter for you or are you just looking for a great reliable service? The great news is that all of the companies that we do medical alert reviews of provide good dependable service. The big difference you are going to see in these big companies is customer service, features, and price. While customer service, in my opinion, is the most important thing to look for in the best medical alert, it is often hard to gauge when you are shopping around. While you can search for customer reviews and complaints of a given company, the best thing to do is really make sure you are comfortable with the representative you are speaking with. They truly are an extension of the company they work for… My point that is our medical alert reviews can only take you so far. You will need to call each company that you are interested in and speak with their representative. Doing so will give you a glimpse into their customer service in a way that no medical alert reviews, customer testimonials, or complaints can.

Here’s the question at hand: When you call a medical alert company, do you want to get information from a helpful individual or a salesperson? It’s pretty easy to hear the difference, so listen for salespeople while you are making your calls! Our medical alert reviews warn you if a company is a sales organization (rather than customer service oriented). The danger of getting info from someone whose commission depends on your sale is quite obvious. Certain tactics are used, certain facts get skewed, and you are just overall better off talking to a helpful company that is not concerned with “selling” you. We haven’t touched much on this in our medical alert reviews so far, but one of my biggest pet peeves is when fear tactics are used. Yes, we all know that these medical alert save thousands of lives every year. But when sales organizations try to make you feel scared if you go with any other company but them, it is simply unfair. I know you will be able to hear the difference between a good company and a salesman! And it will mean a world of difference to your service.

Finding good, independent reviews of medical alerts is a little bit tough these days. Strangely enough, most review sites are built by one of the companies they are reviewing. You can tell if a site’s reviews of medical alerts is independent by looking at a couple factors. Are they just recommending one company? Are they able to justify the logic for why this company is better than all the rest? Is there a big trophy picture next to that one company that they recommend? Are their reviews factually based or do they sound more like an opinion? Its important to understand where any information you are relying on comes from in order to use it properly. And, of course, finding independent, fact-based reviews of medical alerts is a smart step to any medical alert search… Make sure you are getting unbiased information by sticking to independent reviews.

Whether you should have a medical alert in your home or not has nothing to do with your age! Lots of younger seniors get started early on having a safety system in their home. They know that by having a medical alert button they can press to get help whenever they need they will live longer and healthier lives! Beyond that, lots of younger adults use these systems too! It is not about how old you are… As we age we do have a greater risk of falling or having an unexpected emergency, but one person who is 85 could be in radically different health than another. It really comes down to your personal situation. Are you concerned about having a fall in your home? Do you ever find yourself having trouble balancing? There just is no such thing as getting started too early with a medical alert!
